Challenge: The COVID-19 Virus has swamped everything, full swing, affecting everyone in this world and particularly in this community. Our challenge was to create an outdoor, publicly accessible and comforting amenities of place-in parklets within margin of physical limitations and budget orientated construction.
Solution: The solution was to create a parklet system that can be easily built over two parking spaces by the local Rohnert Park SMART railway station. This parklet is to ground passerby's and people who don't have space to use the on platform seating, while amongst creating a unique environment for the public to enjoy. This is further elaborated with different planter spaces to hold an assortment of native plants, sustained by gravity fed irrigation.
